Moving somewhere new can be scary. Here is a honest, friendly guide to what your first week with Winners of Tomorrow will look like.
Moving into a new place is a big deal. It can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time — and that is completely normal. Here is what you can expect in your first week with us.
Day 1 — Moving In
Your Key Worker will meet you on your first day. They will show you around your room and the property, give you your Welcome Pack, and walk you through fire safety and emergency procedures. Most importantly — they will take the time to get to know you.
The first few days
You do not need to have everything figured out straight away. In the first week we focus on making sure you feel safe and settled. We will:
• Make sure you have everything you need for your room
• Help you register with a GP if you have not already
• Start filling in your Key Contacts list together
• Begin talking about what your goals and Support Plan might look like
By the end of the first week
You should know your Key Worker well, feel comfortable in your space, and have a clear idea of what support is available to you. If anything feels wrong or you have any worries — tell us. We are here to help, not to judge.
Remember — this is your home. We are just here to support you.
